WOW! 4 days until the big move, paying the moving in costs tomorrow!! we decided to invite everyone out, so they can either help out during the day or just come party at night.. or BOTH! (we've also let some of our special friends crash in our new apartment with us on the first night)
golly, i started packing today, yes i know, it's very late and i d0n't even have enough boxes however everything will go smoothly and in a very organised manner.. heres to hoping :)
a few tips for moving:
- when packing create a list of the items that go into each box and tape it to the top of the box- that way you know what is in which box
- make sure you have read every inch of the contract so when you do move in you aren't breaking any rules eg. nailing things to the wall ... hey it seems straight forward but we aren't even allowed to blu-tac things up or even have pet fish :S .. so read thoroughly
- if you have limited space in your new place, try to only pack the essentials and sell anything you haven't used for the past year online or give it to charity :)
